The theme for this piece is partnership – designed as the welcome exhibit for this gallery displaying the work of two artists, who while being best friends, work with different media and genre.

A divergent art form illustrating the partnership of two entities, distinct yet unified, independent yet reliant.

The ribbed substrate is the bedrock, the foundation of their friendship itself. The constant, textured ground upon which they both stand. The smooth, individual panels are the artists. Each unique, distinct in their scale and shape, their chosen medium and genre. Yet they are all placed upon, supported by, that same foundational ribbing. Their separate identities are presented because of that shared history, that common ground. It’s a visual metaphor for their symbiotic existence.

A dance of independence and reliance.
