Genesis by William Kent (2024)

1240, 1080, 920, 760, 610 (200 x 200) mm – POA

‘Genesis’ depicts an ascending progression. Five sentinel-like forms rise in a graduated line. Their increasing stature is mirrored by a corresponding multiplication of voids—apertures—that serve as eyes or conduits. The piece speaks to emergence, to the evolution of awareness from a singular, simple origin into a complex, multifaceted entity.

It is a visual allegory for growth, for the accretion of knowledge or experience.
